18 ANTHONY THOMAS AQUINAS CARMONA (1953- ) H e was the fifth President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago from 2013 to 2019. He was a High Court Judge at the Supreme Court of Trinidad and Tobago, and served as a Judge of the International Criminal Court from 2011/12 for two years. He was born in Fyzabad, in South Trinidad and attended Presentation College, San Fernando, the University of the West Indies and the Hugh Wooding Law School. In 1989, he became a Senior State Attorney. From 1994 to 1999, he was first Assistant then Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions. From 2001 to 2004, he was an Appeals Counsel at the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Tribunal. 2019 World Peace Culture Award 2013 ORTT (Order of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago) KEITH CHRISTOPHER ROWLEY (1949- ) H e is the current and 8th Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. On September 7th 2015 Dr Rowley led the People’s National Movement (PNM) to general election victory and was re- elected on August 10th, 2020 after winning the general election. Dr. Rowley was born in Mason Hall, Tobago and received his secondary education at Bishop’s High School, (BHS) Tobago, his BSc. Geology and Geography at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica, his MSc in Volcanic Stratigraphy and his Doctorate in Geology, at UWI, St. Augustine, Trinidad.
