He established postgraduate training programmes in food and nutrition and the Distance Education Teaching Programme in Agriculture and Rural Development. He introduced the Caribbean Agricultural Extension Programme, the Continuing Education Programme in Agricultural Technology and the Certificate Programme in Agriculture.
