41 a License in Theology. After his ordination, he taught at St. Mary’s College in the 1960s. It was during the 1970 Black Power riots in Trinidad that Fr. Pantin became determined to fight poverty and empower marginalised people. He started his work in Laventille, along with Wes Hall , and this was the beginning of the organisation Servol (Service Volunteered for All). MARESSE-PAUL (1838-1900) A journalist and educator and her son Edgar L. V. Maresse-Smith (1861-1905) a lawyer, were very involved in fighting for equality and the political rights of women and against injustice towards the masses.
